We made a small change to the Safety Survey process to make it easier to for you to view the status of your surveys. Additionally, the reporting tool has been updated to ensure Wing and Region CC's have the opportunity to Review and Comment on all surveys they are responsible for as outlined in CAPR 62-1 para 3.d.8. Commander Responsibilities : "Review and/or comment on the online Safety Surveys of all subordinate units."
The process hasn't changed to access Safety Surveys - Click on SAFETY FORMS, then Click on SAFETY SURVEYS. If a member has read-only, submitter, or approval access, this is recognized by duty position. Safety Officers at all levels can review and make entries into a survey; however only the Commanders have the authority to Review a survey and allow it to go to the next echelon of command or to show completed. Acknowledgement of a survey Review being OK by a Safety Officer is posted in the journal notes and shows in the Notes section of the survey status.
In the end, the survey process itself has not changed, just the accountability view has improved.
