Over the last six months National Headquarters has been working on migrating the membership financial accounting system from a commercial third-party vendor to an in-house system. This has been a large, complicated conversion that will provide increased financial tracking of corporate dues revenue and should relieve some processing irritants and time delays that members have currently had to endure. The transition to the new system must take affect with the beginning of the new fiscal year on 1 October 2017. Since 1 October falls on a Sunday this year, and to ensure that the conversion runs as smoothly as possible, the membership system in eServices (including the online new cadet application, online renewals and online Aerospace Education applications) will be unavailable from 0:00 a.m. CDT Sunday, 1 October, until 1:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, 2 October. All other portions of eServices will continue to be available for member use. Typical membership actions that will not be available during this 37 hour period are membership renewals, new online cadet applications, transfers, senior member promotions, and professional development awards. We regret any inconvenience this may cause the membership but feel it is a necessary step to ensure a smooth transition into fiscal year 2018.
