The national board recently approved training requirements for NIMS compliance and an announcement was made a few weeks ago to encourage members to begin training as soon as possible. Achievements and tasks to track the NIMS requirements to complete IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, and IS-800 are now available in Ops Quals, and reports will soon be available. The achievement entry tools available in Ops Quals can be used to enter completion of NIMS training. The training will be validated at the unit level. Some members may have completed this training in the past but it will all still need to go through the Ops Quals validation process to make sure the training has been completed per DHS requirements.
