Wing Commanders,
For the third year NHQ will print personalized wing legislative handouts for your use in meeting with elected officials during our annual Legislative Day on March 1st. These handouts are critical in telling the story of how valuable CAP is to our communities, states and nation. Most importantly, these handouts should help convince Congress to support CAP’s top legislative agenda item…fully restoring our FY13 budget. We need you and your staff to do your very best to make sure these handouts grab the attention of your congressmen and senators.
To make it easier for you and your staff, the submission template is available in eServices this year. The link in eServices is called “Legislative Day Submission Form” and is located on the Restricted Applications menu. This template will streamline the process for submitting information for each wing’s customized Legislative Day handout. A sample of three formats – featuring a single major accomplishment, an overview of activities/achievements and highlights provided in bullet format – are provided to help guide your decision-making in determining the best format to use for your wing.
In addition to wing commanders, vice commanders, chiefs of staff, public affairs officers and wing administrators are all able to view and submit the electronic form on behalf of the wing.
The deadline for completing and submitting the electronic form in eServices is Monday, January 16, 2012.
