Emergency Services section of OPS Quals Training Status Update
13 September 2007

The IT team has made an update to the way members enter and view qualifications in training status. There are two ways in Operations Qualifications to enter a qualifications with a status of Training.

The first way is to use the SQTR Entry module. The old way was to enter the tasks in the Prerequisites and Familiarization and Preparatory Training sections. When all of those were entered they would show up on the 101 card without any kind of approval. We have added two more sections that will require approval. The first new section will represent the Commander's Approval for the Prerequisites section.

The second new section will represent the Commander's Approval for the Familiarization and Preparatory Training section.

To enter these tasks into the system you will need to:

  1. Enter the Trainer CAPID, Mission Number and Completed Date before the line break (at the top of the page)
  2. Check the checkbox next to the task you would like to save.
  3. Once all the checkboxes are checked click the submit button

OR

  1. Check the checkbox next to the task you would like to save.
  2. Enter the required information (Completion Date, Trainer CAPID, etc.)
  3. Once all the checkboxes are checked click the submit button.
When you submit these two new tasks they will go to the approvals application for you Commander to approve. The Training Status will not show up on the 101 Card until the Prerequisites and Familiarization and Preparatory Training sections are complete and both of these tasks are approved. (Some only require one so in that case just that one has to be approved)

**If you already have the Prerequisites and Familiarization and Preparatory Training sections filled out you do not have to re-enter those tasks. You only need to enter the two new tasks for the Commander's Approval.
**To make sure these are pending you can check the SQTR worksheet. It will show the pending completed date.

The second way is to use the Single-Person Achievement or Multi-Person Achievement (Restricted Only) modules.

  1. Click Edit next the Achievement (Single-Person) or select the Achievement (Multi-Person).
  2. Enter the Date
  3. Select the Source
  4. Select "Training" from Status list
  5. Click the update button (Single-Person) or Click the Insert and then the Submit button (Multi-Person).
When these are submitted they go to the Approvals application to be approved. Once they are approved they will show up on your 101 Card in Training staus.
